ANNEALID
The surface of our planet had steadily been growing cold
A frozen, barren wasteland under skies of dimming gold
We were forced below the ground to build our cities far beneath
Ever closer to our planets' center, thriving in its heat
When they arrived, they told us of a wondrous place
A blue-green globe many, many miles away
They brought with them books filled with their histories
Brimming with images of sights we'd never seen
Fire-breathing mountains and forests full of trees
Surrounded by a surging crystal liquid called the sea
Constructions crowned with spires piercing high into the blue
Technology and wires our curiosity grew
The most adventurous among us did not hesitate
We climbed aboard the Earthling ships intent to emigrate
They promised us a better life of warmth and much tranquility
They told us things that seemed like truth but we were too naive
How were we to know that those years we'd spent on Earth would end up crushing our spirits?
How were we to know that those years we'd spent on Earth would end up destroying our families?
How were we to know that those years we'd spent on Earth would teach us all the meaning of hate?
How were we to know that those years we'd spent on Earth would have us crawling on our knees?
We obeyed all their restrictions
We swallowed all of their prescriptions
We went along with their decisions
We voted for their politicians
How were we to know that we'd be used to fulfill their delusional, god-complex fantasies?
How were we to know we'd be reduced to freaks of nature performing on stage?
How were we to know that we'd be used to try to fix the problems of their dying world?
How were we to know we'd be reduced to pigs for slaughter living in a cage?
We prayed to all of their religions
We served in their combat conscriptions
We allowed all their inspections
We injected all their poisons
We should never have allowed them to set foot on our planet that day

never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu
As scalding as hot lava, the latest from French group Non Serviam collides black metal brutality with industrial grind. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 3, 2023
What an impressive piece of black metal. This one-man hurricane is pure art. Sgah‘gahsowáh creates an haunting atmosphere. He puts so much soul in his music. Sælzer Bub
